A touch of a Grandparents' Wisdom:
Being a grandparent is one of life’s greatest joys, but it’s not always easy. Navigating the dynamics of your children’s relationships while building meaningful connections with your grandchildren can be a delicate balance. It often requires patience, understanding, and a willingness to adapt. Children’s interests and personalities are constantly evolving, and as a grandparent, staying involved means embracing their ever-changing world. Over the past two years, I’ve learned—and am still learning again with the second newborn grandchild—valuable lessons about fostering these relationships.
One thing I did with my child growing up was to read to her. We had many outings to the library. To this day she is an avid reader. Hence my grandchildren have a lot of books. My favorites books for my grandchildren are listed below.
Body Safety Books 4 BOOKS,
"My Body Sends a Signal: Helping Kids Recognize Emotions and Express Feelings"
"Very first animal encyclopedia"
I am also including other play activities we have enjoyed with our granddaughter:
Toddlers Montessori Wooden education toy,
Melissa & Doug rocky mountain national park camera ( Granddaughter loves this toy)
6 in one wooden Montessori Toys
From a grandparents perspective, I really like the quality of the Melissa and Doug brand of toys.
